POINT Hamp
Hamp is a modern teak outdoor furniture collection with an interesting twist. In a nod to the Industrial style, natural sustainably-harvested teak has been turned and bent to resemble a frame that would typically be constructed out of tubular metal. Then the designer, Francesc Rifé, tensions Batyline sling around the wooden skeleton to support the base and backrest on which the cushions rest. The result is warm and rustic Country Chic that is simultaneously very modern and minimalist.
All the materials used perform well outdoors. Teak is naturally resistant to water damage and decay due to its high oil density. Batyline sling is a soft water-resistant fabric with a natural feel that supports the contours of the cushioning.
Tuvatextil fabric cushions are manufactured with a quick-dry foam core, which for an upcharge, can be lined with a protective casing to increase water resistance. The bottom of each cushion is left open to encourage quick drying and improve breathability. Choose from Group 1 Tuvatextil (Spain) or Group 2 fabrics: Group 1 features good oil repellency and Group 2 is extra water repellent.
Round lounge tables are from the same designer with a similar teak/industrial look.
