The Monterey Collection is Barlow Tyrie's take on mid-century modern aesthetics recreated with timeless teak. The range takes its name from Monterey Bay, a scenic spot on the central California coast famous for its historic Cannery Row district and vibrant marine life.
Solid in its construction, Monterey pairs first-grade plantation teak frames with Italian high-fired ceramic tabletops to capture elegance and modernity. Most seats and backs are beautifully braided from cord for aesthetics, functionality and comfort. The all-teak armchair is sculpted to provide long-lasting luxury; plus, the slat design will harmonize perfectly with the corded version of this award-winning armchair.
Monterey comprises a regular and an adjustable deep-seating armchair, ottoman, and a 3-seater sofa. Seating comes in Textilene braided cord chalk or grade-A teak. The Monterey dining tables feature an attractive ceramic top and are available with or without parasol hole.

Our Monterey armchairs and 3-seater sofa use ¼" round braided cord, for the seat and backrest. This is made from yarns; both Textilene™ and Diversatex™ Olefin. The "Rum cake" colored cord is ideal for outdoor products; It is light in weight, has an impeccable finish and has a temperature resistant quality. The fabric is rugged non-stretch woven polyester with a PVC coating; it is resistant to UV, moisture, mould, as well as being waterproof and flame retardant. The cord is known throughout the furniture industry for its durability and strength.

Lead Time: Cushions are made to order and take approx. 4-8 weeks
If the item is in stock, it will be shipped after the cushions are completed. If it is out of stock, the item will be shipped from England and may take anywhere from 8-10 weeks. Note: Due to complications with COVID-19, Barlow Tyrie cushions are experiencing longer than usual lead times. Please contact customer service if you have a question about a particular cushion option.
* "Enhanced delivery" means that the driver will take the shipment onto your property, to the space you specify. The driver will then unwrap and if necessary assemble the furniture. They will dispose of any packaging material.
